Terms of Conditions of Conference Registration and Data Privacy Statement
This website does not collect or store data from browsing.
If you fill out the registration form, we (Dr. Thore Posske) store your data based on art. 6, para. 1 letter a of the DSGVO (German Datenschutzgrundverordnung), i.e., you haven given us your consent to store and process this data in order to participate at the conference. We store your data for the period of two years to make it possible to contact you in case of outstanding bills, refunds, etc., or submit further conference-related data like changes or footage. Your data may be shared with staff at the Universität Hamburg that helps organizing the event and the co-organizers Benedetta Flebus (Boston College, USA) and Mircea Trif (Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland), and the local organizers Sigurður Ingi Erlingsson (Reykjavík University), Andrei Manolescu (Reykjavík University), Viðar Guðmundson (University of Iceland) and staff at these institutes. Beyond that, your data is not shared with third parties as long as we are not legally obliged to do so.
You can, at any time, retract your registration by writing to the above given email address and stating your retraction. In this case, we will delete your data at latest two months thereafter.
All refunds requests must be in writing by mail to the above given contact as soon as possible.
The Conference committee reserves the right to refuse reimbursement of part or all of the fee in the case of late cancellation. However, each case of cancellation would be considered individually.
You can revoke consent to the storage and processing of your data as described above at any time, after which we will delete your data and treat your revocation as a retraction of your registration in case the revocation is submitted before the conference.
You have the right of information about your personal data that we store, the right of changing it, the right of having it deleted, and the right to transfer your data by art. 20 DSGVO. If you think that the processing of your personal data violates the DSGVO, you have the right to complain at official sites. Telling us your name and your participation details of the conference is essential for making your participation possible. In this sense you are committed to convey this information. If you do not convey this information, you can not participate at the conference and we will treat revocation of consent the same as if you retracted your registration (see above paragraph).
We do not use automatized decision making including profiling as described in art. 22 para. 1 and 4 of the DSGVO.
We further make you aware of the online dispute mediating platform of the EU. We will not participate at dispute mediating measures of a “Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle”.
